NOTE: This is an internal document. There’s nothing here that a parent or student can do to fix this directly.
If parents and/or students can’t see some information in powerschool, here are the main spots to check:
- Is the portal turned on for that individual parent/student? Sometimes this gets missed when onboarding new students after the semester starts.
- Are those terms explicitly turned off in Term Setup? Start Page > School Setup > Years & Terms > Term Setup > Edit Term then look at “Suppress Classes For This Term From Parent/Student Users”. This can get checked over the summer and then not unchecked.
- If grades are not showing up, check Start Page > School Setup > Quick Lookup Preferences
- It’s unlikely, but access can also be turned off here, or maybe the wrong feature turned off: Start Page > School Setup > Parent/Student Access
