The easiest way to install the Lockdown Browser is to go to a quiz or test that requires the Lockdown Browser and attempt to take it.

1. All students have access to a Lockdown Browser Practice Quiz that they can use to check that the Lockdown Browser is installed, or to get instructions for installing the Lockdown Browser. The practice quiz is located in their class course on Canvas. It will look something like, “Class of 2024”. They might not have it saved on their Dashboard, so they might have to go into Courses then All Courses to access it.
2. Once they are in their “Class of” course, they should go to Quizzes and select “Lockdown Browser Practice Quiz – Requires Respondus LockDown Browser”. There will be instructions for installing the Lockdown Browser that are specific to the device they are using. A parent might need to add the Lockdown Browser depending on how parental controls were set up on the device.
3. Once you have the Lockdown Browser installed on your device, open the Lockdown Browser, have your student log into Canvas, return to their grade level course, and take the practice quiz. 
4. Students can take the practice quiz more than once, so they can use it to install the Lockdown Browser on any other device that they might use to take an assessment.
