NOTE: at Lincoln Lutheran, your children should automatically be added to your Canvas account. So you won’t have to do any of the steps below.

You can add your student to your Canvas parent (observer) account in three ways:

• Adding your student from our Canvas website.
• Adding your student from the Canvas iOS app.
• Adding your student from the Canvas Android app.

Rather than list the steps in this article, we decided to link to the nice knowledgebase articles that Canvas provides. You might find some of their other articles for parents helpful as well.

No matter how you add your student to your account, you will need a Pairing Code from your student. Your student can get this code for you by logging into their Canvas account and clicking on Account -> Settings -> Pair with Observer (a button on the right). This article has a video and pictures to guide you through the process. Pairing codes are only valid for 7 days, but, once you are paired, they work forever.
