NOTE: Parent accounts are now automatically created for you at Lincoln Lutheran based on your FACTS email address, and your account is already associated with your children.
The first time you log into your Canvas parent account you should use the website. After that, you can use the app.
First log into the website (not the app)
- Go to the Lincoln Lutheran Canvas page at canvas.lincolnlutheran.org and click on “Parent & Guardian Login” button.
- First login only:
- Click on the “Forgot Password?” link.
- Enter the email address you use for FACTS.
- Click the Request Password button.
- Follow the instructions in the email sent to that address to set your password.
- All Future Logins:
- Enter the email address you use for FACTS.
- Enter the password you chose above.
- Click the “Log In” button.
After you click “Start Participating”, you will see your student’s classes. Your student should be able to show you around and help you get familiar with the system after the first few days of school.
Second set notifications (actually important)
Notice that there is a message at the top of the screen asking you to set your Notification Preferences.
The default notifications in Canvas are not great, but there is an article on how to change them to work better for you. Click on the blue Notification Preferences button to make changes.
Third log into the app (if you want to)
Once you’ve logged in via the website once, you can download the parent app and use it instead. NOTE:when the app asks you to find your school, type LL and click Go (or Next). It will probably work if you type in Lincoln Lutheran as well, but may ask you to login each time you use the app, and ain’t nobody got time for that.
