Starting Class

• [optional] unplug the swivel cords from the charger (at the charger) and move it wherever you want in the room. If you use the screen, placing it near the screen would be nice.
• Wake up the iPad and press the home button twice to get to the homescreen.
• Open the Swivl app
• Take out the microphone, turn it on (long press), and put it in the lanyard. Put the lanyard around your neck (if you have a chest pocket, you could probably just put the microphone in your pocket).
• Turn the Swivl on (long press)
• Click the Zoom button in the Swivl app.
  • When Zoom opens, click Join meeting.
  • Where it says Meeting ID, use the dropdown arrow to select the meeting (there is only one, so just tab Done).
  • Tap the blue Join button, or just press Enter if the keyboard is still up.
  • Enter the passcode (it is on a piece of tape on the iPad).
  • Tap Join and then Unmute yourself.

Using the Swivl

• Tap the middle button on the microphone to turn tracking on/off.
• Use the up and down buttons to control the volume of the student.

Ending Class

• End the Zoom meeting (hangup)
• Take the microphone out of the lanyard and return it to the Swivl for charging
• Turn off the Swivl (long press)
• Plug the two USB cables dangling from the Swivl back into the charger
