Setting Up an iPad for your child

Apple has two articles to help you setup an iPad for your child. Set up a device for a child with Family Sharing on iPad will walk you through the first steps. Then the article Use parental controls on your child’s iPhone or iPad will help you control when your child can use their iPad, as well as what apps and websites they can use. At a minimum,  we would suggest restricting adult content on websites (which also turns off private browsing and deleting history).

When we have setup your child’s Lincoln Lutheran accounts, we will send you an email with their username and password so that you can help them get logged in to their school email account and Canvas (where they will find assignments, lessons and so forth).

There might be some apps that your child’s teachers want them to have on their device. If that is the case, they will send you the list of apps.
