Schedule Projectors to Turn Off

This was written for the Epson 2250U, but should be similar for other Epson Projectors.

Setup Time

You can’t set a schedule unless the projector knows what the date and time are:

  1. Menu -> Extended -> Operation -> Date & Time -> Date & Time
  2. Set the time to the current time -note that it is military time. (pro tip: hold down the blue Num key on the remote to use the blue numbers to enter the time)
  3. Set -> Return

Set Schedule

  1. Menu -> Extend -> Schedule Settings (screen will dim and return)
  2. Schedule -> Add New ->
  3. Power: Change to “Power Off”
  4. Type: Change to “Day of the Week”
  5. Day of the Week: Select all days
  6. Time: Change to 16:30 (4:30pm in military time). You can use the blue Num key to enter the time with the blue number keys on the remote here too.
  7. Save -> Return -> Setup Complete -> Yes

Other Settings

There are some ECO settings that you can check while you are here:

  • Power Consumption: Auto
  • Light Optimizer: On
  • Sleep Mode: On
  • Sleep Mode Timer: 30 min.
  • Lens Cover Timer: On
  • A/V Mute Timer: On
  • Standby Mode: (blank)
  • ECO Mode: On
