The following checks need to be done:

• Hide “Report Cards” on the parent Portal on FACTS until everything is ready.
• Someone should have already checked that the Assignment Groups and any weights for assignment groups make sense for each class. In FACTS: Reports -> Gradebook Gradebook Assignment Report (I suggest doing this after the 3rd week of the semester)
  
  NOTE: It would be a good idea for someone to do this at the end of the semester and look for teachers who need some guidance on best grading practices.
• Lloyd should have manually run a Canvas Sync and noted any assignment without due dates, and had teachers find and correct them. In FACTS: Reports -> Gradebook Canvas Import (I suggest going this every few weeks)
• Someone should look at all of the classes and make sure comments have been entered. In FACTS: Classroom -> [each class] -> Report Card -> Comments (After comments are due)
• Teachers should look at all of their classes in Canvas and check to make sure the grades match in FACTS. Classroom -> [each class] -> Gradebook (24 hours after the teacher is finished entering grades in Canvas) Any errors here are probably due to a missing due date in Canvas

When the above checks are done:

• Someone should run the Honor Roll stuff (I’ve never done that, but would be glad to include any notes here if someone gives them to me).
• Lloyd will load grades from the gradebook into “historical grades.”
  • In FACTS: System -> Database Tasks -> Recalculate Gradebook
    • First, do this for the current term (just do it)
    • Second, do this for the preceding term (either Q1 or Q3) by clicking on “Lincoln Lutheran” in the upper right corner and changing the term.
  • In FACTS: System -> Database Tasks -> Report Card Load
    • Load attendance from Daily Attendance records (both terms) x2
    • Load grades from Gradebook (both terms) (numbers then letters) x4
    • Calculate Semester X grade (final term only) (numbers then letters) x2
• Someone should run a few report cards for 6th, 7-8th, and 9-12th and make sure they look reasonable. In FACTS: Reports -> Academics -> Report Card (Web) (make sure you select the right term)

After that I think we are ready to send out report cards, store them in profiles, and Show them in the Parent Portal.
